As I drive North on the 101 through Los Angeles I turn my head for a glimpse of our ever so famous “Tower.” That’s right, the Capitol Records tower which rears it’s legendary skull amongst the cities fine dust and vapored sky, home of catalogs such as The Beatles, Robbie Williams, Pink Floyd, Crowded House, and The Rolling Stones is waving it’s hand at me as if I needed to stop by for some strange reason. Fuck, now I remember, I just received an email from my lawyer that my NOW 26 platinum plaque has arrived, is collecting dust, and needs to be picked up. At this point I’m already past the exit and say, “fuck it, I’ll swing by next week when I’m not in a rush and traffic doesn’t suck.”

The new songs: Where do I begin. I’m so immersed in them it’s hard for me to clearly describe them in a logical form. There’s certainly an energy, an attitude, and rawness to the sound that wasn’t there on the last record. Not so much heart failure and dear diary poetic justice as there is desire, opinion, and expression through many states of mind. The beats are aggressive, the guitars are loud, the keys and bass are on heroin, and the vocals are somewhere between Jack Nicholson and Michael Hutchinson. Nah…the vocals are just driving me fucking crazy…

So we’re about to hit the stage here in Germany at The Dome 48 along with other great artists like Reamonn, MIA, and Kaiser Chiefs. It’s been a very busy run so far this past week as our tour manager Josh Trash has held it all together just fine. We’ve hardly had the time to really see the beauty of the country other than in passing but the support at radio and TV has been spectacular. We’ll be posting pictures from The Dome 48 & other spots very soon, but here are a few for you to check out. We are looking forward to getting back to Los Angeles next week to finish a few brand new tracks before the holidays back in CT with the family. Much love and thanks to all of you. Cheers!

Hey everybody,

As it gets colder back home in Connecticut, it gets more blazing out here in LA. Literally, we can smell the burning embers from the top of the Hills…but on a more positive tip, we and the music are having a very prolific and seductive time in the studio. We just can’t get the fuck out in a good way, ya know. Mike, Creep, and myself, along with our engineer Jamie Rise, have been at it like people have been at the new 007 (which I must say I enjoyed). Some of the gambling circus just spent a few days in Vegas…so they’re down for the count and need to rehab it for a bit before jumping back in the studio. Hopefully by tomorrow they’ll have regained enough consciousness…

A big happy birthday to Stu the jew.

An even bigger happy birthday to our producer Jeff Blue, aka. SKEENY.

After playing the Supermodel Unlimited party here in Hollywood, some of the boys are flying back east with new girlfriends. I wish you all a happy T-day - I’ll be kickin it with the Italian side…nothing wrong with some turkey parmigiana.
